Carlos Molina Vallejo

“When I did my first watercolors I had just arrived from a vacation at the beach. Perhaps the freshness of these drawings was thanks to a moment of light and happiness. That’s why giving brushstrokes in various senses is my salvation.”

Carlos’ work is characterized by new forms of expression discovered through different materials, highlighting his interest in watercolor. The combination of techniques helps the artist to finalize his works and get closer to what he pursues in a satisfactory way. The geometric figures give rise to an optical effect, to which the brushstroke and color are added to transmit different sensations. His works from the group Emotions: Oleaje feminista (homage to the movement), Emociones humanas (hope in utopia), Primera Prueba and Sombrero de copa color (break with tradition) share the transgressive character of their profound message.
